Subject: Best of the series
Managed to catch 6 of these shows that month. They were all great but this one stood out not only for how tight they were but for the connection with the crowd, remarkable even compared to the rest of the acoustic shows in this wonderful hall. Felt like Jerry & Merle at the Keystone or some other small setting of the sort. Listen to the whole series and somewhere (wish I remembered what night) you'll hear Etta James joining in, what a voice.

Subject: Incredible!
All of these Warfield sets are just amazing, RC sets too! This one could be the best? I think I am going to listen to 8/5/70 next.
Its too bad the band did not perform acoustically more through the years...

Nice bouquet, fruity but not overwhelming, subtle nuances of rainbows with hints of fireworks, caliopes and clowns. Put this in your pipe and smoke it!

Some of the Warfield acoustic sets just sound better than others, this is surely one of them. Not only an excellent recording, the band is just together tonight, nailing solid vocals, playing great riffs, and shining on solos that flow right in and out of the music.

I have always loved the Warfield & Radio City shows
from 1980 with Heaven Help the Fool instrumental. This SBD recording is about as good as it gets.

Dont even think about it....just download and be amazed.

Subject: Excellent Acoustic Set!
The El Paso is fantastic...and I usually don't even LIKE the song! A great example of what the Dead could do "unplugged". If you like acoustic Dead, this could be the best of the 1980 acoustic sets.

Subject: This may be the best El Paso ever
I can't think of a better version what a nice surprise. The rest of this is excellent as well with crystal clear sound there are a few tech glitches though.

Subject: Another great El Paso!!
This is an exceptional SBD of the 1980 acoustic run. Really enjoyed the El Paso! Jerry's playing comes through very clear on on the right channel. Would love to get the electric set.
